Relations is a New York based noise-pop band, consisting of singer/guitarist Mike Sanders, bassist Terence Murren and drummer Timothy Monaghan. Their music draws on many influences, but always from a place of realness and individuality… from the Buzzcocks to Jon Cale to Pavement… 70s psych to 90s post-hardcore. Relations lyrics speak to longing and want… a rebellion to the daily grind… A need for something otherworldly and bigger in ones life. Higher thoughts, but also the grit of enduring and continuing to make art.
