IAN ADAMS
Ian Adams has been howling in the Boston music scene, being the driving force behind legendary Boston motor-punk bands 8 Ball Shifter and Rock City Crime Wave. He set a new course with his debut Midriff release. Adams uses his untrained emotive voice and his 1950’s inspired song writing and surf guitar style to explore quieter, yet nonetheless, nocturnal and creepy places. Stay Up Late is his first effort to turn down the volume and express himself with the type of music that made him fall in love with Rock N' Roll in the first place. Don't expect James Taylor though; The inner world of Ian Adams is a dark creepy place where love, sex, and death ride on the devils back. The spacious reverb laden guitars, lush keyboards, and Phil Spector-esque drums give feelings of a cinematic rock n' roll dream where you realize too late that David Lynch is the director.
