CAMERON KEIBER


Cameron Keiber was born in Raleigh North Carolina, before, as a child, his family moved to NJ then settling in southern New York, just under an hour from NYC. He grew up taking the bus into the city in the ‘80s and ‘90s where he was exposed to the NYC art, music and theater scene of the era. He played in bands in high school prior to attending The University of Massachusetts at Amherst where he started his first club band, opening for the likes of Helium, Polvo, Kustomized, J Mascis, The Unband and a bevy of Western Massachusetts luminaries at places like The Bay State Cabaret and Pearl Street.
Upon graduating college Keiber fled to Boston and soon started and fronted Boston noise pop heroes The Beatings for 20 years. After which his attention has focused on New England favs Eldridge Rodriguez. He has co-managed Midriff Records with his brother Clayton for the majority of the labels existence and released 16 albums of his work between band and solo projects. His work has been praised in outlets such as Village Voice, Mojo, LA Weekly, The NYT, Magnet, The Washington Post, the Boston Globe, A/V Club, Stereogum, CoS, Under the Radar, The Big Takeover, Earmilk, Various Small Flames and more.
Cameron’s First album under his birth given name, Nurser, will be released March 2025.
